Welcome

Welcome to my blog. Sit back, listen to the music (if I can ever get it to work again), experience a little visual stimulation and enjoy.

Pear 2

Second edition in a color study of pears.

Dance Me To The Moon

Sometime when you "Make a Mess" something wonderful emerges.  I love this playful image of a dancing couple.  Makes me want to live in their world for a while.

Do You Like My New Chair?

I am so loving these blues.  Normally not a blue person, but these are so rich.  Sort of makes me want to redo my house.

Pear 1

Pears are such an interesting fruit to paint.  They have a sort of knobby shape that lets you experiment with color, light and shadow.  This is the first in a series.  We'll see where this goes - off into the wild I hope.

City Lights

This might be one of the most favorite things I have painted lately.  Made from a mess of a collage, it has emerged as an interesting painting.  Note to self:  never give up on a painting.

Full of It

It's been a long time since I have done anything worth posting.  But after taking Bob Burridge's workshop at the Bunkhouse in Cypress Mill, TX, my whole attitude about creating art has changed.  Bob freed my soul to just create - gave me permission to paint like I've always wanted - without fear.  Not everything is a masterpiece, but it's all fun and it pleases me.  That's all that counts don't you think?

Flowers Make Me Happy

Flowers make me happy.  I just love this time of year when all the wildflowers are in full bloom.  Wayne and I plan on going out into the countryside for a photo expedition sometime this week, and hopefully, will come back with some great things to paint.  Maybe a little plein air painting will be on the schedule as well.

About Me

I was married - for a really long time to the most interesting man in the world - Wayne Harmon. He is gone now, but never forgotten. We have one child, and two amazing grandchildren. I've been painting all my life, and consider myself a born teacher and a story teller.
